Traffic accidents and death caused by distracted driving are 100 percent preventable. However, 10 people die each day due to car accidents caused by distracted drivers. Because of this, I am motivated to take the pledge each time I get behind the wheel. Since putting my phone away while I am in the car can cause one less traffic accident, injury, or death, I don’t see a need to check my phone. Taking the pledge means I understand my choices greatly impact the roads and drivers around me. Knowing the decisions I make while driving could save a life, I choose to be a Hands Free driver.
